Australian Casino Crackdown and Ainsworth Gaming CTO Departure

Ainsworth Gaming Corporation (AGC) revealed today that David Bollesen will be leaving his position as Chief Tech Officer, starting now. The organization will seek a permanent successor located in Las Vegas. For the time being, regional directors will oversee the CTO duties within the company.

The Adelaide Gaming Resort faced potential license revocation on May 31st but narrowly avoided disaster – temporarily. They’ve been granted a reprieve until December 20, 2024, to rectify their operations. Apparently, their anti-money laundering procedures were found lacking, resulting in a substantial $67 million penalty from AUSTRAC. In an effort to mitigate further repercussions, the casino has accepted the fine and is attempting to demonstrate compliance.
