Allwyn Partners with Peace Race to Support Cycling’s Future Stars

Allwyn, the soon-to-be manager of the UK National Lottery, has teamed up with the Peace Race, a cycling competition for athletes under 23 years old. The event, which draws squads from more than 20 nations, occurs in the Czech Republic, and Allwyn will aid its domestic expansion by supplying funds and assistance.

Established in 1948 to cultivate amicable ties between European nations following World War II, the Peace Race is now a Nations Cup tournament for cyclists aged 23 and below. The four-day competition will transpire from June 8th to 11th, 2023.

“At Allwyn, we eagerly anticipate this year’s installment of the Peace Race,” remarked Pavel Turek, Allwyn’s head of Global Brand, Corporate Communication, and CSR. “It is a marvelous spectacle, unfolding amidst the picturesque Jeseníky Mountains, with groups from 22 global nations vying for victory. The race boasts a storied past and is acknowledged as one of the most welcoming and esteemed cycling events globally.”

Leopold König, the Peace Race’s Race Director, supplemented: “Annually, we witness gifted young cyclists competing here who will shortly leave their mark on the World Tour. National contingents from across the globe dispatch their finest cyclists to the Peace Race. They typically hail from top-tier teams or are members of professional European squads.”

All those present were truly amazed by the challenging nature of the Jeseníky Mountains stage for the cyclists. One might even venture to declare its difficulty on par with the formidable climbs of the Pyrenees or the Alps!”
