Catena Media Enters Vermont Sports Betting Market

A major entity in the digital sports wagering partnership sector, Catena Media, has formally entered the Vermont market.

With the Green Mountain State legalizing sports betting, Catena Media capitalized on the opportunity, utilizing its current alliances with industry leaders DraftKings and FanDuel – two of the three providers initially greenlit by the Vermont Liquor and Lottery Commission.

The debut was strategically aligned with Catena Media’s nationwide brands deploying Vermont-focused material across their channels. Working with media outlets like NJ.com and The Sporting News, they are guaranteeing extensive reporting for those seeking to understand this emerging betting environment.

Vermont, though a smaller state with a population slightly exceeding half a million, represents a notable landmark as the last New England state to adopt online sports wagering. It is also the first North American market to launch in 2024, with North Carolina anticipated to follow.

“We’ve witnessed significant excitement around Vermont’s introduction, both within the sector and among players,” stated Ryan Harper, Vice President of North America for Catena Media. “Vermonters are already acquainted with online gambling through daily fantasy contests and equine wagering, so this seems like a logical evolution.”

This growth makes Vermont the newest inclusion in Catena Media’s North American holdings, strengthening their footprint in a total of 28 states and provinces throughout the US and Canada.

Catenna Media opted to increase their investment in the thriving markets of the United States! They liquidated their holdings in Italy (valued at €19.8 million, in case you were wondering) as 2023 drew to a close. This calculated maneuver enables them to concentrate intently on the auspicious, controlled markets within North and South America.
