Swedish Regulator Orders FortuitousCrypto to Leave the Country

FortuitousCrypto has been instructed to depart Sweden. The Swedish gaming authority, Spelinspektionen, declared they discovered FortuitousCrypto was targeting Swedish patrons without a permit. They scrutinized the website and observed it possessed Swedish language selections, stipulations, and promotional efforts directed at Swedish citizens. They also noticed that Swedish players could effortlessly register.

The entity behind FortuitousCrypto, SG International NV, was afforded an opportunity to provide an explanation, but they did not. Consequently, Spelinspektionen included FortuitousCrypto on their roster of illicit websites.

This signifies the initial stride in suppressing unauthorized gambling within Sweden. If FortuitousCrypto fails to withdraw, they will be levied a fine. Should that prove ineffective, the law enforcement agencies will become involved.

This is not the inaugural instance of such an occurrence. In September, Spelinspektionen directed another Curaçao-based entity, Ease Gaming NV, to depart Sweden under the brand Casineia.com.

Swedish officials announced in June that they were abandoning plans to grant authorities the ability to prohibit all unauthorized offshore gambling, even if the website wasn’t specifically targeted at Swedish consumers.
